The Basics

What do Christians believe?

Christians believe in one God, who is the creator and sustainer of the universe. They believe that God is love, and that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to earth to die for our sins. Christians believe that Jesus rose from the dead, and that He is coming again one day to judge the living and the dead.

Christians also believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, and that it is the ultimate authority for their lives. They believe that the Bible teaches us how to live a life that is pleasing to God, and that it gives us hope for the future.

If you are a new Christian, welcome to the family! There is a lot to learn about Christianity, and it can be a bit overwhelming at first. But don’t worry, there are many resources available to help you grow in your faith. The most important thing is to start reading the Bible, and to find a church home where you can learn more about the Christian faith.

Here are some additional things that Christians believe:

  • The Trinity: Christians believe that God is three persons in one: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
  • Salvation: Christians believe that salvation is a gift from God, and that it is received through faith in Jesus Christ.
  • The Church: Christians believe that the Church is the body of Christ, and that it is made up of all believers, regardless of denomination.
  • The Second Coming: Christians believe that Jesus Christ will return to earth one day to judge the living and the dead.

These are just some of the things that Christians believe. If you are interested in learning more about Christianity, I encourage you to do some research and to talk to other Christians. There is a lot to learn, and it can be a very rewarding journey.
