Why this site exists
This site exists for one kind of person — someone who has just started following Jesus and wants to know what comes next.
Maybe you prayed a prayer last week, or said yes to Jesus at the end of a service, or had a quiet moment on your own where everything changed. Maybe you've been inching towards faith for months and something finally clicked.
Whatever happened, welcome. You're in the right place.
What you'll find here
The content on this site is drawn from Rooted: How to Begin Following Jesus — a short book written to help new believers understand what they've signed up for.
It covers four things that the earliest Christians devoted themselves to — things that still matter today:
- The Bible — what it is, why it matters, and how to start reading it
- Church — why community isn't optional, and how to find the right one
- Communion and shared meals — the food that has marked Christians from the beginning
- Prayer — practical help for actually doing it
Start wherever feels most relevant to you. There's no wrong order.
One thing to hold onto
If you're feeling overwhelmed, or you're not sure you've "done it right," here's something to rest in:
"I am sure of this, that he who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."
— Philippians 1:6
He started it. He'll finish it. Your job is simply to keep following.
